		<description>I think the Xerxes front-end to Metalib does a pretty good job of putting links to acquiring full text front and center where a user expects it and won&#039;t miss it.  That&#039;s in fact to me one of the main advantages of the Xerxes front-end over the out of the box Metalib interface. 

It&#039;s all well and good to say &quot;users need training&quot;, but our own anecdotal experience as well as study after study suggests that whether users need training or not, they don&#039;t want it, won&#039;t attend it unless forced, won&#039;t use online help systems, and won&#039;t remember what they do learn. Our systems need to be useable for basic tasks at least out of the box -- once you hook users with the basic tasks, and it&#039;s an enjoyable and productive experience, they MAY be self-motivated to learn how to do more sophisticated things.</description>
